In Tuesday's league outing, the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) basketball squad edged the host Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), by a count of 42-39.
The Herons (11-8) will now prepare for their outing against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians go into the AA Region 3 outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Vidalia was tipped by Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 33-31, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Dublin for a non-league outing on Friday, January 26. Toombs County will clash with a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 49-42 league loss to East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 15-5.
