Utah High School Basketball - East knocked off by Brighton

The Brighton Bengals basketball team scored 73 points and held the host East Leopards to 54 in the Bengals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bengals now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Skyline for a 5A Region 6 contest on Friday, January 26. Brighton will meet a Eagles team coming off a 48-41 league loss to Olympus (Salt Lake City, UT). The Eagles record now stands at 4-12.

The Leopards (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Alta (Sandy, UT). The Hawks enter the 5A Region 6 contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Alta ran past Brighton (Salt Lake City, UT), 52-46, in a league contest.
