The Mitchell County Eagles basketball team (Camilla, GA), dropped 58-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA)

The Cougars now sport a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Randolph-Clay for a A D2 Region 1 battle on Friday, January 26. Calhoun County will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 57-19 league win over Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 11-6.

The Eagles (2-14) will now prepare for their battle against Early County (Blakely, GA). The Bobcats come into the A D2 Region 1 battle with a 15-5 record. In their last battle, Early County prevailed over Quitman County (Georgetown, GA), 79-16, in a league battle.
