The Devils Lake Firebirds basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the visiting Carrington Cardinals to 44 in the Firebirds league victory on Tuesday.
The Firebirds now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand Forks Central for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Devils Lake will battle a Knights team coming off a 52-50 league loss to Shanley (Fargo, ND). The Knights record now stands at 2-10.
The Cardinals (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (Medina, ND). The come into the non-league contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan dropped by Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter (Napoleon, ND), 54-42, in a league contest.
