Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Spring Hill Panthers (Longview, TX), 35-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Carthage upgrades its record to 11-14 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Gilmer (Gilmer, TX) to play the Buckeyes in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 26. The Buckeyes go into the bout with a record of 15-11. Gilmer won 60-21 in their recent league bout against Henderson (Henderson, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, January 26. Spring Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 13-15 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 19-7 record after their 50-41 league win over Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX).
