Central Plains Oilers (Claflin, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sterling Black Bears (Sterling, KS), 47-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central Plains upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Oilers travel to Macksville (Macksville, KS) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-4. Macksville lost 41-30 in their recent non-league bout against Central Plains (Claflin, KS)

Next up, the Black Bears play the Bennington Bulldogs (Bennington, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Sterling will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
