Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Clarksville Tigers (Clarksville, TX) and the visiting Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX), saw Clarksville's basketball squad knock off Maud by a count of 48-33.

With the victory, Clarksville upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bowie (Simms, TX) to play the Pirates in a 2A Region II District 16 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 15-10. Bowie won 43-35 in their recent league challenge against Harts Bluff (Mt. Pleasant, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Rivercrest Rebels (Bogata, TX) in a 2A Region II District 16 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Maud will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 10-19 record after their 41-31 league loss to Detroit (Detroit, TX).
