The Sumrall Bobcats basketball team (Sumrall, MS), was overwhelmed 62-33 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS)
The Wildcats now possess a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Purvis for a 4A Region 7 battle on Friday, January 26. Columbia will confront a Tornadoes team coming off a 38-37 league win over Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 12-6.
The Bobcats (4-17) will now prepare for their battle against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Cougars come into the 4A Region 7 battle with a 12-9 record. In their last battle, Lawrence County trounced Forrest County Agricultural (Brooklyn, MS), 54-23, in a league battle.
