    • Texas High School Basketball - Cross Roads can't hold off Frankston

    The Frankston Indians basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Cross Roads Bobcats to 44 in the Indians league triumph on Tuesday.

    The Indians now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LaPoynor for a 2A Region III District 19 contest on Friday, January 26. Frankston will battle a Flyers team coming off a 61-38 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX). The Flyers record now stands at 15-8.

    The Bobcats (18-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Wildcats enter the 2A Region III District 19 contest with a 14-12 record. In their last contest, Cayuga nudged Kerens (Kerens, TX), 39-38, in a league contest.
