Dermott Rams (Dermott, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR), 66-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dermott upgrades its record to 2-21 on the campaign. The Rams host Emerson (Emerson, AR) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 26. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Emerson won 61-45 in their recent league bout against Bearden (Bearden, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Bearden Bears (Bearden, AR) in a 1A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 26. Hampton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 51-49 league loss to Nevada (Rosston, AR).
