Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) and the visiting Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS), saw East Central's basketball squad hold off Stone by a tally of 30-28.

With the victory, East Central improves its record to 5-12 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to confront the War Eagles in a 5A Region 4 challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The War Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Wayne County lost 58-32 in their recent league challenge against Laurel (Laurel, MS)

Next up, the Tomcats confront the Clinton Christian Academy Warriors (Clinton, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Stone will attempt to improve on its 12-11 season record.
