With the victory, Eastside upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA) to play the Eagles in a Cumberland challenge on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Rye Cove won 55-42 in their recent league challenge against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a Cumberland challenge, on Friday, January 26. Thomas Walker will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record.
