North Carolina High School Basketball - Fairmont trounces Red Springs

The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) basketball crushed the host Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), 56-15 in Tuesday's league test.

The Golden Tornadoes (15-2) will now prepare for their test against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights go into the 2A Southeastern test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, West Bladen was trounced by St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC), 68-29, in a league test.

The Red Devils now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Midway for a 2A Southeastern test on Friday, January 26. Red Springs will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 39-27 league loss to Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 8-6.
