Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) and the host Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), saw Model's basketball squad hold off Fannin County by a count of 43-42.

With the victory, Model upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host North Murray (Chatsworth, GA) to play the Mountaineers in a AA Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 11-7. North Murray won 48-38 in their recent league challenge against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) in a AA Region 7 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Fannin County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record.
