Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA), 50-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Defiance upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Indians host Alleghany (Covington, VA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Alleghany won 45-28 in their recent league bout against James River (Buchanan, VA)

Next up, the Green Hornets clash with the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Friday, January 26. Wilson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Gladiators go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 46-36 league loss to Staunton (Staunton, VA).
