The Neville Tigers (Monroe, LA) basketball nipped the host Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA), 56-53 in Tuesday's league test.
The Tigers (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Tioga (Tioga, LA). The Indians go into the 4A District 2 test with a 21-5 record. In their last test, Tioga got by Peabody (Alexandria, LA), 38-24, in a league test.
The Patriots now own a 6-15 record. They play next when they travel to Bastrop for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Franklin Parish will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 51-4 league win over North Webster (Springhill, LA). The Rams record now stands at 26-0.
