Maryland High School Basketball - Largo knocked off by Gwynn Park

January 23, 2024: Brandywine, MD 20613

The Gwynn Park Yellowjackets basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Largo Lions to 68 in the Yellowjackets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairmont Heights for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest on Thursday, January 25. Gwynn Park will meet a Hornets team coming off a 53-6 league win over International High School at Largo (Largo, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 2-7.

The Lions (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Friendly (Fort Washington, MD). The Patriots enter the Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Friendly was defeated by Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD), 60-38, in a league contest.
