Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hamilton Hawkeyes (Hamilton, MI), 45-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Spring Lake upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Holland Christian (Holland, MI) to play the Maroons in a Ottawa-Kent - Blue test on Wednesday, January 24. The Maroons go into the test with a record of 7-3. Holland Christian lost 60-59 in their recent league test against Unity Christian (Hudsonville, MI)

The Hawkeyes now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Fruitport for a Ottawa-Kent - Blue test on Friday, January 26. Hamilton will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 62-57 league loss to West Catholic (Grand Rapids, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 5-6.
