Sylacauga Aggies (Sylacauga, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Jemison Panthers (Jemison, AL), 66-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Sylacauga upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Aggies travel to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL) to clash with the Volunteers in a 5A Area 8 bout on Thursday, January 25. The Volunteers go into the bout with a record of 17-4. Central of Clay County won 52-29 in their recent non-league bout against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) in a 5A Area 8 bout, on Friday, January 26. Jemison will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Volunteers go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 55-38 league win over Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL).
