The Staunton River Golden Eagles basketball team (Moneta, VA), was overwhelmed 69-33 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA)
The Cavaliers now possess a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to William Byrd for a Blue Ridge battle on Friday, January 26. Lord Botetourt will confront a Terriers team coming off a 39-37 non-league loss to Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA). The Terriers record now stands at 8-9.
The Golden Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Cave Spring was overwhelmed by Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA), 66-27, in a league battle.
