The Lyford Bulldogs basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Santa Rosa Warriors to 24 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 25-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host IDEA Riverview for a 3A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 26. Lyford will meet a Rockets team coming off a 42-19 league loss to IDEA Weslaco Pike (Weslaco, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 0-9.
The Warriors (9-15) will now prepare for their contest against Progreso (Progreso, TX). The Red Ants enter the 3A Region IV District 32 contest with a 17-10 record. In their last contest, Progreso triumphed over Monte Alto (Monte Alto, TX), 55-24, in a league contest.
