The Simley Spartans basketball team (Inver Grove Heights, MN), was routed 68-23 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN)
The Zephyrs now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastview for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 24. Mahtomedi will battle a Lightning team coming off a 97-24 non-league win over Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN). The Lightning record now stands at 11-5.
The Spartans (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Christ's Household of Faith (St. Paul, MN). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Christ's Household of Faith was routed by Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park, MN), 65-42, in a non-league battle.
