The Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL) basketball felled the host Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL), 56-42 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (21-6) will now prepare for their test against Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL). The Hilltoppers go into the East Suburban Catholic test with a 5-21 record. In their last test, Joliet Catholic was beaten by Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL), 53-32, in a league test.
The RedHawks now own a 9-18 record. They play next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a East Suburban Catholic test on Thursday, January 25. Marist will encounter a Roadrunners squad coming off a 65-39 non-league win over Evanston (Evanston, IL). The Roadrunners record now stands at 18-3.
