Marshall Bobcats (Marshall, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR), 63-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Marshall upgrades its record to 11-9 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR) to play the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 2 bout on Friday, January 26. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 8-16. Sloan-Hendrix lost 67-34 in their recent league bout against Izard County (Brockwell, AR)

Next up, the Hornet play the Pottsville Apaches (Pottsville, AR) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 25. South Side will attempt to upgrade on its 9-17 season record. The Apaches go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 66-45 league win over Waldron (Waldron, AR).
