The Western Panthers basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Marshall Redhawks to 28 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest for a Interstate 8 contest on Friday, January 26. Western will battle a Mounties team coming off a 51-28 non-league win over Eaton Rapids (Eaton Rapids, MI). The Mounties record now stands at 9-1.

The Redhawks (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI). The Beavers enter the Interstate 8 contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Harper Creek was defeated by Gull Lake (Richland, MI), 46-37, in a non-league contest.
