The Neches Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Martinsville Pirates to 19 in the Tigers league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wells for a 1A Region IV District 27 contest on Friday, January 26. Neches will battle a Pirates team coming off a 56-19 league loss to Slocum (Elkhart, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 4-13.
The Pirates (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Laneville (Laneville, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 1A Region IV District 27 contest with a 1-10 record.
