The Mohawk Mustangs basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting McKenzie Eagles to 6 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Triangle Lake for a 1A Mountain West contest on Thursday, January 25. Mohawk will battle a Lakers team coming off a 46-35 league loss to Eddyville (Eddyville, OR). The Lakers record now stands at 2-5.
The Eagles (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mapleton (Mapleton, OR). The Sailors enter the 1A Mountain West contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Mapleton triumphed over Siletz Valley (Siletz, OR), 46-27, in a league contest.
