The Menlo-Atherton Bears basketball team (Atherton, CA), was nudged 42-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Mills Vikings (Millbrae, CA)

The Vikings now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillsdale for a Peninsula - Bay battle on Friday, January 26. Mills will confront a FIGHTING KNIGHTS team coming off a 51-41 league loss to Carlmont (Belmont, CA). The FIGHTING KNIGHTS record now stands at 9-9.

The Bears (11-7) will now prepare for their battle against Half Moon Bay (Half Moon Bay, CA). The Cougars come into the Peninsula - Bay battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Half Moon Bay edged Aragon (San Mateo, CA), 39-35, in a league battle.
