The South Shore Cardinals basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the visiting Mercer Tigers to 37 in the Cardinals league victory on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayfield for a Northern Lights contest on Thursday, January 25. South Shore will battle a Trollers team coming off a 77-19 league loss to Hurley (Hurley, WI). The Trollers record now stands at 0-12.

The Tigers (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Castle Guards come into the Northern Lights contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Washburn was routed by Solon Springs (Solon Springs, WI), 42-40, in a league contest.
