The Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) basketball felled the visiting Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX), 40-29 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (18-11) will now prepare for their test against Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX). The Bulldawgs go into the 6A Region II District 12 test with a 8-20 record. In their last test, Copperas Cove thwarted Weiss (Pflugerville, TX), 65-34, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 3-21 record. They play next when they host Hutto for a 6A Region II District 12 test on Friday, January 26. Temple will encounter a Hippos squad coming off a 48-44 league loss to Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 12-18.
