Georgia High School Basketball - Oconee County trounces Monroe Area

The Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) basketball crushed the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA), 61-18 in Tuesday's league test.
The Warriors (12-8) will now prepare for their test against Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Lions go into the AAA Region 8 test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, Hebron Christian walloped Stephens County (Toccoa, GA), 89-23, in a league test.
The Purple Hurricanes now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Hart County for a AAA Region 8 test on Friday, January 26. Monroe Area will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 59-32 league win over Franklin County (Carnesville, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-6.
