In their next game, the Wildcats face the Jemison Panthers (Jemison, AL) in a 5A Area 8 game, on Monday, January 29. Shelby County will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 4-12 record after their 67-42 league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL).

With the defeat, Montevallo moves to 9-11 on the year. The Bulldogs host Holt (Holt, AL) to face the Ironmen in a 4A Area 6 game on Thursday, January 25. The Ironmen enter the game with a record of 0-11. Holt lost 40-16 in their recent league game against West Blocton (West Blocton, AL)
