The Winnsboro Raiders basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Mount Vernon Tigers to 40 in the Raiders league victory on Tuesday.
The Raiders now sport a 26-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mineola for a 3A Region II District 13 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Winnsboro will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 42-33 league loss to Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 16-13.
The Tigers (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 3A Region II District 13 match with a 16-12 record. In their last match, Mineola overcame Winona (Winona, TX), 71-3, in a league match.
