St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 47-22 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Ansgar upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Saints host Central Springs (Manly, IA) to clash with the Panthers in a Corn Bowl bout on Thursday, January 25. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Central Springs won 58-41 in their recent league bout against West Fork (Sheffield, IA)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Northwood-Kensett Vikings (Northwood, IA) in a Corn Bowl bout, on Thursday, January 25. Nashua-Plainfield will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 54-22 non-league win over Lyle/Pacelli (Lyle, MN).
