Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Duplin Rebels (Calypso, NC) and the visiting Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), saw North Duplin's basketball squad wallop Union by a count of 59-34.

With the victory, North Duplin upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC) to play the Eagles in a 1A Carolina challenge on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-12. Rosewood won 31-27 in their recent league challenge against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC)

Next up, the Spartans play the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) in a 1A Carolina challenge, on Friday, January 26. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 53-18 league loss to Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
