The Verdigris Cardinals (Claremore, OK) basketball nipped the visiting Oologah Mustangs (Oologah, OK), 52-45 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Miami (Miami, OK). The Wardogs go into the Verdigris Valley test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Miami was tipped by Jay (Jay, OK), 42-32, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 7-9 record. They play next when they host Vinita for a Verdigris Valley test on Friday, January 26. Oologah will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 41-30 non-league win over Kansas (Kansas, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 10-7.
