The St. Croix Central Panthers (Hammond, WI) basketball nipped the visiting Osceola Chieftains (Osceola, WI), 49-45 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Prescott (Prescott, WI). The Cardinals go into the Middle Border test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Prescott got by Somerset (Somerset, WI), 58-50, in a league test.
The Chieftains now own a 1-15 record. They play next when they host Altoona for a Middle Border test on Thursday, January 25. Osceola will encounter a Railroaders squad coming off a 38-28 league win over Ellsworth (Ellsworth, WI). The Railroaders record now stands at 12-5.
