University Lab Cubs (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Parkview Baptist Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA), 58-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, University Lab upgrades its record to 18-9 on the campaign. The Cubs host Port Allen (Port Allen, LA) to play the Pelicans in a 3A District 6 bout on Friday, January 26. The Pelicans come into the bout with a record of 3-13.

Next up, the Eagles play the Doyle Tigers (Livingston, LA) in a 3A District 6 bout, on Friday, January 26. Parkview Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 24-3 record after their 0-0 league Mentorship Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
