Texas High School Basketball - Pieper fells Veterans Memorial

Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX), 55-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Pieper upgrades its record to 23-6 on the season. The Warriors host Canyon (New Braunfels, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, January 26. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 12-14. Canyon won 62-45 in their recent league bout against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)

Next up, the Patriots play the Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 3-26 season record. The Matadors go into the bout with a 8-24 record after their 88-28 league loss to Wagner (San Antonio, TX).
