The Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves (Lufkin, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Woodville Eagles (Woodville, TX), 52-28 in Tuesday's league test.

The Timberwolves (23-4) will now prepare for their test against Newton (Newton, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region III District 21 test with a 1-9 record. In their last test, Newton walloped Hemphill (Hemphill, TX), 37-35, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they host Central Heights for a 3A Region III District 21 test on Friday, January 26. Woodville will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 46-29 league win over Diboll (Diboll, TX). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-11.
