Pleasant Valley Raiders (Jacksonville, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL), 50-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pleasant Valley upgrades its record to 3-14 on the season. The Raiders travel to Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL) to play the Conquerors in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Conquerors go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Coosa Christian lost 86-13 in their recent league bout against Spring Garden (Spring Garden, AL)

Next up, the Purple Devils play the Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles (Birmingham, AL) in a 1A Area 10 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Ragland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-19 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 53-29 league win over Talladega County Central (Talladega, AL).
