Westfield Area Pioneers (Westfield, WI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Wautoma Hornets (Wautoma, WI), 40-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Westfield Area upgrades its record to 16-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Wisconsin Dells (Wisconsin Dells, WI) to play the Chiefs in a South Central bout on Friday, January 26. The Chiefs come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Wisconsin Dells won 71-35 in their recent league bout against Mauston (Mauston, WI)

Next up, the Hornets play the Adams-Friendship Green Devils (Adams, WI) in a South Central bout, on Friday, January 26. Wautoma will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Green Devils come into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 53-22 league win over Nekoosa (Nekoosa, WI).
