In Tuesday's league outing, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), by a count of 29-19.
The Huskies (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league outing with a 4-6 record.
The Spartans now hold a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Hibriten for a non-league outing on Friday, January 26. South Caldwell will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 58-18 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 7-2.
