Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC), 36-8 in a league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Red Tornadoes host North Iredell (Olin, NC) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 11-1. North Iredell won 28-6 in their recent non-league bout against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Statesville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 28-6 non-league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC).
