The Warhill Lions basketball team scored 29 points and held the host Smithfield Packers to 18 in the Lions non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jamestown for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Warhill will battle a Eagles team coming off a 42-27 non-league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.
The Packers (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Islanders enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Poquoson was defeated by Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA), 37-24, in a non-league contest.
