The Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) basketball crushed the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 75-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Granite Bears (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Elkin (Elkin, NC). The Buckin' Elks go into the non-league test with a 11-5 record. In their last test, Elkin was trounced by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 62-41, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they host South Stokes for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Alleghany will encounter a Sauras squad coming off a 48-33 non-league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 12-3.
