The Ashe County Huskies basketball team (West Jefferson, NC), dropped 61-51 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC)
The Spartans now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hibriten for a non-league battle on Friday, January 26. South Caldwell will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-28 league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-6.
The Huskies (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, Freedom prevailed over Watauga (Boone, NC), 54-36, in a league battle.
