East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 42-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Gaston upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Warriors host Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) to clash with the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-14. Highland Tech lost 55-34 in their recent non-league bout against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Bessemer City will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Gryphons go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 53-26 non-league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC).
