George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, George C. Marshall upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Statesmen travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to play the Saxons in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Saxons come into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Generals play the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Washington-Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 59-58 non-league loss to McLean (McLean, VA).
