Virginia High School Basketball - Martinsville knocked off by George Washington

The George Washington Eagles basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Martinsville Bulldogs to 36 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tunstall for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 24. George Washington will meet a Trojans team coming off a 43-33 non-league win over Halifax County (South Boston, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-5.
The Bulldogs (9-2) will now prepare for their contest against Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bengals enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Bassett was outscored by Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA), 65-34, in a non-league contest.
